[Interview] jeans Berbinau (Hadopi) regarding filtration:  Look at Australia

with 9 comments

On the occasion of the installation of Hadopi, yesterday morning, to the Ministry of Culture, we questioned Jean Berbinau, ancient general secretary of the ARMT, and current member of the secondary school Hadopi, about experimentation of the High authority in filtration. This last already belonging by DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) a system which consists in analysing and in filtering the contents of traffic we tried to know about it more. This last did not want to say a lot, but enough about it to give an outline of what it is necessary to expect.

Yesterday the president of the republic supported experimentation on filtration
Yes, the president said to this yesterday.

What is your comment?
I do not comment what says the president of the Republic. The president of the Republic gives impulses, directives and directions.

And therefore this is going to be one of the actions of Hadopi where to test filtration?
This is not a news to say to you that the High Authority will be the most attentive in what the head of state, as he |Fr d ric Mitterrand editor's notes] pointed it out, is the protector of culture, thought was good to enunciate.

Christine Albanel had spoken indirectly about filtration by DPI, what rejects FAI.
Look at Australia

They go therefore towards the model of Australia?
It is interesting to see that there is a country at least just like that, which having thought a lot, must normally advance on this subject in 2010.

And, for our part, things should be seen
You should see things in 2010 in Australia.

But in France?
I said nothing to you. But a reflexion can make this logical deduction as soon as the president of the Republic said it.

And what are your reports with FAI on this subject?
FAI is a complicated middle. Negotiations are only beginning
